For anyone that enjoys cooking competitions, there's a new one on FN called Wildcard Kitchen. It's a little gimmicky because it's based on a poker hand. The premise is that three chefs are given $5k and then they deal out a couple of cards that all 3 have to cook (for ex, breakfast for dinner, pork) and then each person is dealt a wildcard. These are generally speed bumps from what I've seen (for ex, no fresh produce, no dry spice). Then they have to choose whether to bet or fold. After the cooking is over they bring out a single judge who determines winner but the judge isn't told what the wildcard is so they're judging based solely on how the dish is composed and tastes - not how well it meets the challenge.
Anyway, it's very low-key, low stakes, light hearted and just wholesome viewing imo.
